The Way The World Learns to Kneel…
We’re looking at why I switched from teaching scuba diving kneeling to teaching scuba diving the proper way… neutrally buoyant.
When I went through my Instructor Development Course (PADI IDC) I was taught to teach divers on their knees. Making your students kneel gives the illusion of control, but all you’re actually doing is setting future divers up for failure by not focusing on one of the core skills of scuba diving: buoyancy control.
New Instructors! Save yourself the agony of teaching divers on their knees and get your head right in the game from the start of your professional scuba diving career.
Did you learn to dive on your knees? Do you feel this did you a disservice? Let’s us know in the comments.
